DANA KERNS

Nickname: D-Unit

Hometown: Shelbyville, IN

College/University: Miami University (Ohio)

9 to 5 I am: I work in the HR Department for a technical
staffing firm. I’m responsible for the internal recruiting
and training. In short, I staff the staffers!

Years in Chicago: Almost 4 years now,
and not leaving anytime soon.

My Favorite Brunette: Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis

Favorite Football Team: Indianapolis Colts! My family has had season tickets since they came to Indy on the “Mayflower” in 1984 (sorry Baltimore). I try to make it to at least one home game a year.

What I love most about being a Brunette: http://www.thefrisky.com/post/246-why-being-brunette-is-awesome/

On Thursdays You’ll Find Me: Counting down the hours until Friday! I’m usually out and about at a happy hour, dinner with friends, or catching up on some must see TV.

Anything else we should know about you: I love to laugh, spend time with my friends, and I am always up for trying new events around the city! I’m not the “clubbing” type, but it’s not uncommon to find me creating my own dance floor and busting a move at a dive bar! I love Chicago, having moved here after college, and consider it my second home.

I WANT TO BE PART OF BVB BECAUSE:

I chose to be part of BvB because it is a fun, unique event which allows active, professional women the chance to unite under a common goal and raise money for a worthy cause. While my family has not personally been affected by Alzheimer’s, I have several friends whose families have been torn by the disease. As an organization it is our goal, to raise not only funds, but awareness on how this disease can impact those in our generation. What better way then settling the ultimate rivalry between Blondes and Brunettes then on the football field! Go Brunettes!
